Izzy
I got a telephone
call a few years ago from a horse
farm up in Carrollton, Ga. about a
young colt that had been in a
pasture accident. They started
weaning their foals at 3 months of
age and this particular colt had
been running with the rest of the
herd in the pasture and had run
headfirst into a telephone pole.
They found him lying out in the
pasture unable to stand, somehow
they managed to get him to the barn
and placed him in a horse trailer.

Zodiac
Zodiac was brought to us on June 17,
2001. He is a Thoroughbred and was a
Three-Day-Eventer. He was
approximately 500 lbs. underweight.
His owner had heard of our success
with just this type of animal and
contacted us. We asked that she send
him to us for 3 months and see what
we could do with him. She thought
there was no hope and had been told
by many people including
Veterinarians to expect the worst,
this horse was on his way out. She
had been trying to put weight on him
for over a year, without success. In
one month's time she was amazed at
the difference. In 3 months she
couldn't believe her eyes. She had
never seen this much weight on him.
He was bright eyed and his coat was
shiny. He looked 10 years younger.
Zodiac is a real sweetheart and very
docile but put a saddle on him and
he is all Thoroughbred. Zodiac is
featured in the Manna Pro Super
Horse brochure advertising their
Senior Feed. You can pick one of
these up at your local feed store.
